How long is your tree saver strap?

I wonder how long your tree saver strap / webbing is.
I first had 50" then 2 meters and by now I just stepped up to 3 meters (might cut it back to 2.5 meters, depending how I go).
Do you just have small trees in the US?
I had now several times the problem that I couldn't get the 50" strap around the tree, our old gum trees are big and the first branch to high up to reach!
    What lenght do you use?

Mine are 5' (about 1.5 meters). That will go around a 1.5' (1/2 meter) diameter tree.
Here in the Easter US that is an easy tree to find.

I use a pair of 12 footers (3.6 m) I don't use whoopies either, that is my entire suspension. Its almost always way too long, but every now and again they come in handy for either big trees or big spaces between trees.
    Good luck,

Mine are 6.5 feet each, roughly 2 meters, that is plenty for the Southeast.

Some trips with small trees are 1.5m, usually I've got 2m straps though.

For the big stuff, I use extenders or just take 2 sets of 2m straps.

    100 inches/72 inches

I keep two sets: One is 100 inches and I can usually use this without whoopies and double it up. The second set is 72 inches; I generally carry whoopies with this one. It's in my hiking pack (lower weight). Both sets are 1 inch, high strength polyester. Reduces weight and almost no stretch.

Edit: That means set one is 3 meters and set two is about 1.85 meters for you metric guys.

Mine are 6' (a bit shorter than 2m). For those of us in the eastern US, that's usually fine. The westerners have larger trees to contend with.

I carry 3' straps. Than I use my whoopie to make up the difference. I sometimes carry a 4 footer and a 3 footer.

Mine are iirc 110 cm (43 inch, 3.6 foot), hands wen DIY from old Ed Speer Hammock.

Fine in Northern Europe or the jungle spots (SE Asia, Central and South America) so far. Can't recall any problems in Northern Territory or Queensland.

Note to self: make bigger ones when traveling to other locations.

I use from 4 footers to 5 footers. The biggest trees I have in my yard are a couple of Maples that measure about 6 feet in circumference (have to use the way bigger straps for these). The trees I usually hang from here in WV average about 2-4 feet in circumference.
So, I usually carry a 4 foot strap and a 5 foot strap and a 3 foot extender.
I am planning to try out a 2 foot tree strap and my 4 footer with the extender; not sure how that will work out, but the cool part about hanging is that if one tree doesn't work, I can try another one, especially in WV, 'cause we have plenty trees.
