    Exclamation suspention material help

    im planning on making my own suspension starps using webbng and d rings... just wondering in anyone has any tips on the length of the webbing and the type of material its made of.

    Webbing should be polyester and not nylon. Nylon stretches. As for length, it depends on where you hang and far apart the trees are. Also the length of you suspension on your hammock.

    Only use polyester. The length often depends on what the rest of your suspension looks like. If you are just making huggers I like 4'.

    Like others have said use polyester and here in MN I find 6' to be a max. you would need. I haven't needed anything larger. You could go smaller, but it's easier to trim later than add more

    Your best bet is polyester.

    Among others, DIY Gear Supply sells 1" and 1.5" versions by the foot.

    Arrowhead Equipment also sells it by the foot. Arrowhead also sells a complete kit that includes the buckles, straps, and larkshead loop to attach to the hammock.

    So does Warbonnet.
