BigBaby-thanks for the tease on the Wild Azelea in your excellent vid!
Mind telling me more about the trail...did you see any cyclists? I've got this trail
on my to-do list for bike camping...an out and back..leaving the vehicle in the little city,
camping at the 26 mile mark then back the next day-sound good?
I've also read water is a problem-your assessment on the H2O please.
There are several Nat.Park units I need that are kinda close by in Louisianna so when I go I plan on some significant time there-anything else I should check out while in the area of mid to northern Louisianna?
    thanks

The Wild Azalea Trail is busy with bikes often and would work great for bike camping. Water can be somewhat of a problem but the marked creeks on the map always have water in them so just plan accordinally. As far as anything else, I'm not to familiar with nothern Louisiana.

Dude I missed you by 1 day. Looks like you camped less than half a mile from where we camped. Looks like a great solo. Those birds can be a pain can't they.

We had a biker pass us on the walk in. The trail is a great bike trail. Water isn't horrible depending on what section your doing. You can probably plan on finding water every 5 miles or so.

I love solo trips. There is a lot to be learned about your self and the activity when yur out there on your lonesome. Great job!

I figure your doing right when you can smile when you're out there. You seemed to be doing plenty of smiling, so, I think you're doin' it right.

    Thanks for bringin' us along.

You do learn lots about yourself when on a solo. In my case it was positive.
