I have been an EMT/Dispatcher for ten years. I worked off and on in Nashville for a couple of private services before coming back to Chattanooga. Now I'm a dispatcher for my county 911 service. My first partner introduced me to the term squirrel. He was what you would call "The Squirrel Grand Master". A squirrel in Nashville EMS slang is someone who is overly gung ho in the Fire/EMS/Police field and talks about it constantly. He had so much gear I.e. bunker gear, expensive stehoscopes, multiple radios, etc. his car was a gold Chevy impala (looked like unmarked cop car) with about 3 radio antennas and a laptop mount on the dash. I had mistakenly told my friends the definition of a squirrel. Apparently when I'm with them all I talk about is work. So they would call me squirrel. Also I have the attention span of ...ooh shiny what's that.... You get the idea. SQWERL because before autocorrect I would miss spell it and also to be a little different.

I have been a paramedic working 911 and critical care ground transport since 2006 and starting flying as part of a critical care helicopter crew full time a couple years ago. I used to use my real name on forums but I have wised up recently and this seemed an appropriate username to hide behind.

Well, Since I'm guessing I am one of the few, if not the only, Catholic priest on the forum, I was really straining to think of something clever given my station in life. That's about it!

Back in 2008 I was just starting to get interested in hiking. I was headed out for my first hike with my hiking buddy "Lazarus". He explained this trail name thing to me and I settled on Newton.

Mine has been a nickname for some time, I was really into boxing when a kid and loved the rocky moves, and shea is my middle name (which as a child, I hated). Some girl in school thought it was cute, so of course as a young teen I had to adopt it for the rest of my life.

When I created my first online account, with Yahoo, countryboy was taken. I live in Iroquois County. I stole the ending so I could still be Countrybois . It is has been with me for ~20 years.

I've never really slept a lot, so I'm the one that makes sure everyone else gets to sleep. 614 was my first college dorm room.
