What does your HF Screen-name mean?

DrBirdman03: I'll work backwards for this explanation.
I am a "III" (named after my father and grandfather) so that is the 03.
I studied bird behavior for my master's degree and started using Birdman03 on various forums back in 2000.
I earned my PhD a decade ago, but since I don't ask any of my students to call me Dr. anything, I gotta use it somewhere...so I tacked it onto the beginning!

I chose "Spindrift" as my HF Screen-Name. The screen name Spindrift serves as my personal cautionary self-reminder "word" to always practice safety during my newbie journey into "Winter Hammock Camping".

Spindrift means: How does this newbie assure his self-safety when the winter weather goes sideways? Unexpected heavy snow accumulations, 30 plus mph whipping winds, potential heavy driving rain, sleet or snow. Not to mention the occasional not forcasted temp. plunge to near zero or below.

During some fun times during my 'wilderness years', I got a bit drunk, and had to give a false name to get into a cabaret bar on a camp site on a cheeky weekend with my mate Greg.
We had been listening to Wicked Game by Chris Isaac. Unfortunately the ability to spell Chris Isaac as my fake name eluded me, and it ended up coming out as Christos Irikano!!!
Later in life I would adopt the name Christos Irikano as my stage name. I was once asked by a booker if I had a middle name, to which I replied "yes, its X".
My stage name would later be shortened to Christos X
