Snow Beast TQ to complete the set

The matching TQ is finally done, thus completing the Snow Beast...dare I say... "System"

Just like the UQ it's also filled with 950+FP Goose and lofts to 5.5". 10 baffels plus enclosed foot box are holding 16oz in total.

No match for a cut open Ton-ton but I think we might have to go to Hoth to test it

    That is simply INCREDIBLE!

Okay, seriously, someone has to ask...
When does full production of the [o]TTeR UQ/TQ system begin?

Great looking TQ, [o]TTeR. I think with the Snow Beast system, you'd be good to go at -40C. Most of the top -40C down sleeping bags I've seen the specs on have 10" of loft total. At least with the system here, you're going to get the full effect of the loft with no compression issues.

If you're bring these out this weekend, you may spontaneously combust.

    Cheers

I usually respond to this question with a humorous comment about my wife taking my head off with a frying pan but after 7+ business ventures (few good, most..not so much), I never chat about the potential for making money on DIY in the kitchen or around power tools! It takes a lot of time and energy to make these bundles of “downy goodness”, this project (both quilts) was $300 in materials and around 16 hours (I measure 5 times…once more just to be sure then cut). To be honest, I’ve entertained the idea of putting a few on the FS thread but truthfully not much is original about their design, it’s just unique materials and custom measurements.

This project was fueled by my determination to drop that 9 pound -40 Military bag from my gear list. I’ll be hanging with the Beast this weekend and sleeping in Bermuda Shorts , good luck getting me out of my hammock on Sunday morning!

That things definitely looks beast. What kind of clip are you using at the top of the TQ?

It’s a lanyard from the security badges we use at work, the lanyard fit perfectly in the top channel (cord & clip), added a cordlock and presto. The clip is designed to release if there's enough tension to chock you...I like that feature
