New Hanger - Just got Fast Fly from ENO

Are there any tips for using it? I'm using a DIY hammock that is using the adjustable rings from the tree (not ready for whoopie slings yet).

I put it up yesterday since I just got the Fast Fly for Christmas and it worked but I was trying to make it cover more and I think I wasn't doing something right.

Any help is appreciated - and btw I watched all of Shug's videos on youtube and learned a lot but where I'm located (Virginia Beach, VA) there's not much snow so some of what he was saying didn't really apply to me.

    Thanks!

The tarps can be somewhat short looking when you hang them...can't really tell without seeing a picture. I had a similar eno tarp for my first tarp and it always looked short to me but I never got wet with it. Try and take a picture next time you have it setup and maybe we can help you more.

first off, in case you didn't realize (like I didn't when I bought it) it's a diamond fly. That means just two connection points on the side and two on the ridgeline. it's 9ft or so corner to corner, which is probably why it seems short if you're using it like a rectangle tarp. Rotate it and use it as a diamond and you'll get the 132" ridgeline coverage.

I'm going to be setting it up this weekend - finally will be around some trees - I already did a "mock hang" but it wasn't in the best of places (down a slope with some weird trees). I set it up as a diamond but I'll get back with a picture - thanks for the input!

    My "First" Setup

So I set it up and wanted to see how low I could go (coverage/windblocking) and then it started to rain so I just left it up - as it turns out it kept it dry.
