    UQP question

I ordered a UQP from 2QZQ, I have ask this question before but not on this forum. Does the UQP add any insulating factor to a UQ and could you use a poncho liner between the UQP and Hammock as a UQ? Now for the real question what temperature or R factor would this be rated?

I don't think you would find an R factor, but the fact that it will reduce the heat loss by blocking the wind will make a difference. Obviously with more layers of insulation will increase the warmth, as long as the down doesn't become compressed.

a shell like that will cut the wind, which steals away warmth from whatever you have beneath you. In the summer, depending on the temperature, a breathable shell may be all that I put down there.

You can use a poncho liner as an underquilt, the challenge is getting it hung properly to eliminate gaps and close off the ends.
