Congratulations on both. You might try a test hang around your house overnight. I did before a pack trip into the mountains and found that I needed several adjustments between the WBBB & UQ to get the warmth down the whole length of the UQ.

Just thinkin', being so tall, you might not entirely rule out a full length UQ. With the 3/4 length, you get 52" of your 79" covered (like your back down to your backside?). With the full length, you'll get 77" covered.

Yeah. What's not covered will be cold. Unless the hikng is drastically more important than my comfort, I choose a near full length UQ, so much so I really want, reeeally want a Speer peapod. YMMV, HYOH

Congrats on the purchase, I too am a tall guy at 6'-6" and love my Blackbird. I have a 3 season Yeti which works well, though I have thought of going with a phoenix after seeing my buddy Raiffnuke's. I think I would like the extra length of it. My Yeti might be up for sale in the future lol

Glad to see someone of my height is on the forum. I'll let you know how the phoenix works out once I get a chance to take it for a test run. Thank you all for the comments and suggestions.
