    Thanks mbiraman.
Your right, you don't encounter them to often,
mostly early morning, warming themselves in the sunny patches on the trail.
    When they're still fairly sluggish.

    Thanks Richtorfla & Fronkey.

    I like that. Only the eastern brown comes into the suburbs of Brisbane.(-;
Well i'm not a suburb kind of guy so i'd have to embrace them all.

    Thanks HitchHiking,
Could be nasty if it climbs any higher !
They're all part of the bush experience, just a nuisance thats all,
same as leeches. I usually ask my wife to de-tick me with a pair of
tweezers when I get home....just the one's I can't see or reach for
    myself.

    Me too, mbiraman.
Embrace, respect & carry a couple of rolls pressure bandage,
    just in case !

Might as well add to my post this since it's already here...more creatures
    from recent walks......

    Plain Jane looking insect..

Taaa Daaa !! It's a Mountain Grasshopper, out to impress !

Sleeping beauty catching some early morning rays...I'm 6ft...he was another 2ft longer than me.

Heard some strange, wild pig sounding grunts throughout the night,
then heard them again the next morning,
    so I stealthily investigated...turned out to be.........a koala !

Mountain views are good for the soul....& getting to them is good for my waistline.

    Creature feature, Qld, Australia.

Great post! All the crawlers make hanging that much the better option.
Almost got a full passport, but have yet to make it down under.

Thanks TheQ, it's a big wide land & your always welcome.
Got a towel & ice pack wrapped around my knee at the moment...
..but this mornings walk was worth it.
I've got a thing for beautifully marked serpents...

    Re: Creature feature, Qld, Australia.

I've seen them on nearly every walk lately.
Luckily for me, I see them before they see me.....well..most of the time anyway.

Wondering if that mystery snake might have been a copperhead?

I know my North American and South American snakes pretty decent...always fascinated by the ones you guys have on that side of the world.

Great pics...you live in a beautiful country, my friend!
