Well there seems to be an interest in a Michigan Winter Hang and we need to firm up the dates. So lets get a general consensus on the dates.

Ludington state park, that is close to where Nordhouse Dunes is located right (or the dunes are part of the state park)? I'm planning a hike with a few friends there in the spring and would love to see it in the winter. Depending on the date you all choose I may be up for a trip to the other side of Lake Michigan!!

Dunes are just north of state park, think you can hike from SP to Dunes and back.... Not backcountry camping in SP but I think once you entrt Dunes it's all designated wilderness with BC camping...
Someone else chime in with more info if ya got it...
Ludington state park im in!!!
Ahhh,,Ludington, Manistee, Betsie River,,,Platte River,,,Platte Bay,,some of my old stomping grounds chasing king salmon, brown trout, Coho, Steelhead,,,love the hot times I had up there almost every weekend of the fall for years,,,till I got off on a different tangent.!! Hated to see the fishing change.
Havent' been since I was a kid, would be a good excuse to get back home for a weekend
Should have a good case of cabin fever by then.
Nordhouse and the State Park are next to each other. Trails connect.
Mark me down for either date.
Could be tons of snow at that time of the year, and icebergs!!
Good luck,
