Yep--that works great, sacrificing very little length. The
only qualm I have about this system is that the seam of the loop gets mixed up in the lark's head, making it somewhat cumbersome to loosen, especially after there's been some weight on it. But, otherwise, just the ticket. Tightens around the tree with just a tug and stays there. Thanks, again, Hangnout!
Now, there's another good idea. I might try that. I'll let you know how it turns out. (have to go to the hardware store to get Plasti-dip.) Thanks for the input, CD!!!
