    my cheap awesome under pad

I left this unfinished to see what you guys think. It is the blue wal-mart pad of course, then I cut up an old windshield screen and hot glued it to the pad. I then took some of this rubber coated stuff(don't know what it is called) and glued it to the screen. This stuff is made for cabinets I think to keep stuff from sliding around. This should keep my pad wherever I put it. It sticks to my hammock like glue. Let me know what ya think

I think that's very common man and highspeed buddy.. I want a service report on this thing, see what it can do as far as how cold it can go. But I'm loving this idea and it's a great cheap easy DIY situation that might get you broke into some CWC(cold weather camping).. very cool dude

I think it looks real useful. Next thing is, I want to hear how it works for you. Time to do some camping!

I wish I had thought of this on my first hang.
I used a (too thin) 1/8 ' Gossamer Gear pad and tried to Gorilla Tape it to stick
    to the hammock.

I think this is an awesome solution.

    Standing by for field report......

Just got back from wal-mart with new roll. 5 bucks. I could have got by with what I had and Just put a few sections on it, but I wanted it completely covered. I have slept with the pad and windscreen, but it only got down in mid 40s and of course I didn't get cold. Had little trouble with keeping both pads together and where I wanted them so the easy liner should help.

I like it,,,, I bet that spray on headliner glue from Auto zone would work for that shelf liner stuff.

Question, isn't it better to have the sunscreen reflector closest to the body or does that not really matter?

It feels warmer with the reflective side closest to the body.

I've tried them all ways and the result is conclusive.
The science backs it up too.
