Just an FYI in case you were planning on Valens? the park is usually closed for the month of December.

Can't say I ever expected to see canvas at a hang, but fantastic (plus a wood stove). I don't know if the hanger does any living history stuff but the A-frame and wood stove would fit right in with those of us enchanted by how the outdoors were experienced in the past. It makes my heart all warm and fuzzy the see the canvas combined with the hang!

I am the hanger in question for the canvas wedge tent. I got this solely for winter camping and this was the second test trip for it. I am certainly looking forward to the upcoming winter hanging season. I don't do any living history stuff. I am with you on the warm and fuzzy feeling, however it will be my feet, butt and whole self that will be all warm when it's -25C outside and I'm in my hammock watching a movie on my tablet computer with the inside temperature warm enough to go in short sleeves.

You can thank Oldgringo for the original inspiration of hanging a hammock inside a canvas wedge tent with a wood stove.

    Cheers

    Brian
