Does the weight of the ultra light include the ropes and s hooks? Does anyone know how much just the body weighs? Anyone...anyone...Beuller...

My camo ultralight weighs in at 8.7oz give or take .1oz w/out the hooks or black ropes.

    The s-hooks = .96oz each
The black ropes = .45-.50oz each.
The blue hang ropes = 1.30-1.40oz each.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks! If I switch to this hammock and leave my biners at home I can shave 6 ozs off my setup.

T-BACK I forgot to mention that my hammock is 4'6" x 8'6" not the 9'6" that the Travel Hammock site lists. The fabric weight works out to 1.9oz roughly.

Yes sir. I just made a set of whooping slings for my ultra light out of 7/64 masterly blue. At first I just hooked the S hook to the whooping, then I realized it was unnecessary so I got rid of the S hooks an attached the whooping sling to the loop going through the gathered end with a lark's head/square knot.
Very slick. Quick and easy set up in addition to the weight reduction.

I love my UL. A nice hammock for a great price. I'm hanging it on Dyneema Continuous Loops and Antigravity Gear Muletape Straps with Carbon fiber toggles. I added a Lash-It fixed ridgeline to attach a DIY half bug net. It weighs in around 9oz without the net. I hang it under a Simply Light Designs Simplicity Asym tarp. This is a great setup for my ultralight trips.

Love this hammock. After swapping to whoopie slings, it's so easy just to hang pretty much anywhere.

The hammock with webbing, 3/4 CCF*, and Wally World DIY voile curtains-turned-bug net, the whole system weighs in at just over a pound. All I need is a lighter tarp than the Hennessy Asym I'm using right now, and this is perfect for late-Spring through early-Fall backpacking.

I am just a little over 6' tall. It took some time to get comfortable with the length (a cozy footbox on my TQ helps). Anyone else in my height range use this hammock regularly?

*I use my Hennessy Asym with the HHSS for cooler weather, so I haven't looked into any UQs that would fit a hammock this size.

Also the stuff pocket works as a great beer bottle holder when the hammock is deployed.
No, the GT Ultralight is polyester; skeeter beeter pro is nylon. SBP has one zipper on the stuff sack side.

You just replied to a comment from 2008. Nice necrobump!
