    Talking Hanginging in the rain

Ok, I just got back from testing my new Grand Trunk with Tadpole tarp up the Siouxon Creek in Washington... Just set it up and the sky opened up and the rain came down. Very beautiful place to hang with trees all around... My only problem was with the Woopie Slings. I could not loosen them when taking them down

    you found a nice spot!

my only idea about the stuck whoopies is that they absorbed moisture and that made it difficult to relax them...

if they are tight i hold the gathered end in my armpits. that way i remove the tension from the whoopies and have both my hands free to milk them loose.

Now thats my kind of camp spot...Greenman.
Tumbling waters to snooze by, ferns, moss covered
    tree trunks...just beautiful.

I had the same issue as you with the whoopies
so I change back to my rap ring set up.
    Horses for courses.

Kobold's right on track with his info though, take the
weight of the hammock & remove the tension....easily fixed.

Wish i lived near that spot !......

Not much experience w/ the Woopie Slings here, but ain't it just great laying there in your hammock & listening to the rain & watching it fall in the woods around you?

Maybe try un-milking the buries on the whoopies.....sorta scrunch them in and loosen.

Great spot! I love hangin' in the rain. Just knowing I'm up off the wet ground is awesome!

Shug's note for un-milking the burry has worked well for me when the lines are wet.
