    Cheap bugnet - Ikea

Found this at Ikea for $5..

    http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/90111980/

$5 for 2 == 110"x98".. should be big enough for 2 hammock bugnets. it looks similar to tulle, only much stronger. It won't stop no-see-ums, but it will stop mossies... It's white, but I've had a lot of success with spray dyes, which are also cheap. Even spraypaint works, but is heavier.

    Packaging says 14oz, so that's 7oz per, at 110x98 ... um...

    7oz/110x98=10780 sq in / 144=74.86 sq ft /9=8.3 sq yds = ~0.8oz/yd^2

    Not bad for $5.

Great find. And, of course, it could be soaked in permethrin to enhance its effectiveness over a season.

Excellent Point! Too bad Ikea doesn't carry Permethrin!

+1 this would be a cheap option to buying a good bugnet

I bought some spray dye and blackened it a bit... somewhere out there is a hug style net that i made for somebody.

The net is really strong, but only good for mossies as the holes are pretty large... similar to tulle.

I have one panel left, unused at this time...
