    Wink West Coast Gal

Hi folks, I gave up my tent and am using a hammock now, (well the last two camp outs anyway). I love the idea of being suspended, above all that gives me aches and pains in the middle of the night.
I have learned a great deal hanging out at this site. Enough so, to make my first hang very comfortable, at least until the inside of my hammock and the dewpoint formed a mist inside the hammock. Just love the Oregon Coast!
    Thank you, everyone.

welcome, from Salem. Coastal hanging must be tarped at all times, whereas over here, it is only most of the time.

Yes, forever on the coast be ready to get wet. I thought the rain would stay out of the hammock until the mist-out-thing happened! Serves me right for thinking I had it under control. The Gale force wind did not help either.

Welcome to the club, it's a nice place to hang out (no pun intended
I can't buy something without first considering whether I could just make it myself instead. How'd I get so screwed up?

I usually don't trek very far,
when all around me black bears are.
