Never fallen per se. I've gotten in when trying different suspensions and have been eased to the ground by the suspension. Hope it never happens due to a suspension or hammock failure. Check out 2:19 of this video. Ouch!!

Three hammock dumpings in 5 minutes is my record

I was trying to escape the hoardes of dreaded scottish midges but unseen by me in the dark, my velcro hammock sides and bug net had stuck together, crossed over and twisted. Getting in was impossible, even Houdini would have been dumped.
After 3 goes, I got off the floor, straightened the hammock out and probably lost pints of blood to the midges before getting in properly.

It had absolutely nothing to do with the whiskey!

Yes, I guess there are two types of hammockers. Those who have fallen, and those who will. For now I must say that I am in the latter group.

I did come close once or twice, when I did not completely sinch my suspension, and when I sat down, it self-tightened me, but never did I hit the ground, but I was only an inch off the ground each time. And it is hard to get out of a hammock that low, which was a sight.

You put your feet out on one side and walk yourself backwards until you are standing...

Has anyone ever fallen out of their hammock while trying to correct a leg cramp? Not saying I've done it (I have), but talk about a nightmare situation that you are thrilled nobody was there to witness. Just sayin.

I had hung my hammock between two trees that were too far apart - at least that's what I think was the reason for my fall. I plopped down in the hammock and rolled right out the back side. I'm just glad no one was around to see it. I had a hard time getting up because I was laughing so hard.

First time about three weeks ago. I drug out the stand for a midday nap and my whoopie sling came undone I landed right on the cross bar. I am no light weight but falling 8 inches on that hurt :.

I fixed it and got back in to nurse my injury.

That's...actually...a really good idea. My aching quads thank you. I have no idea why I didn't think of that myself .
