One last thing then. Is there a better deal or recommendation in the hammocking world for a kids' hammock than the $60 Mosquito? I was thinking of going ahead and getting one of those for my son, but then saw the $10 price cut if you buy more than one of a model. Does that mean if I buy two Expeditions they are $80 each, or only the 2nd one is $80? If it's 80 each that's only $10 more than Expedition + Mosquito at full price.

Should I be looking/bargain hunting elsewhere for kids' hammocks?

I've used the HH hammocks, but now have a Claytor Expedition. I'm about 5' 6" tall and weigh a bit more than I should, at 185. I find the Claytor more comfortable and easier to get in and out of. I don't like the velcro used on the HHs, as it tends to tear up my pants, etc. I tend to sleep on my side and am comfortable that way in either hammock.

I don't think I've ever seen a hammock, with bug net, for less than $60, but haven't searched that much since I got mine. Every hammock I've seen for less than $60 doesn't include a bug net, and usually, when you order the optional bug net, it climbs to more than $60.

I like the dark color bug net of the Expedition, but find the pocket in the Expedition a not very useful item. I tend to wind up sleeping on it and would like to find a better solution.

The Byer Moskito is fine for an occasional day at the park, but I wouldn't recommend it for frequent camping.

Also known as "Brazillian style" hammock sleeping. So if you're getting flat on your back instead of bowing like a banana, you're probably lying diagonally across the hammock.

Oh for sure I'm bowing like a banana....but like I said I'm still quite unexplainably comfortable. I think the length of the Claytor lessens the banana effect. Plus, by lowering the torso end of the hammock I believe it tends to allow your back to be relatively flat while your legs tend to follow the curve upwards. When I said I lay flat, I simply meant not on my side, and straight down the middle. If I hang the hammock loosly I can get diagonal but I dont feel any great advantage to it from a comfort standpoint.

I went ahead and placed/paid for an order of two expeditions. Should I be worried that I have emailed him with a few questions since last Thursday and not heard back? Fortunately most of my questions have been answered on here, but I hope he's not off playing polo somewhere and orders get backed up too far. I gather 2-3 weeks is not too uncommon delivery time?
