    new hanger from SW Arkansas

Hello from Arkansas. I just bought my first hammock two weeks ago, a Clark North American. I am an avid hiker and backpacker, and a trip i am taking in a week is the main reason i decided to try hammock camping. It lacks enough flat ground to set up a tent. In all the nights i have spent in a tent, be it car camping with a queen size air matress or backpacking with 1/4 inch foam pad, I have never had a good nights sleep. I set my hammock up in the backyard the other night and was just gonna stay in it till 2 a.m. Well it didnt happen. I snuggled in to my bag at 10:30 and except to turn my 2 o'clock alarm off I slept till 5:40 a.m. It was the most comfortable nights sleep i have ever gotten outside. It may have been one of the most expensive gear purchases i have made, but I am pretty sure it will be one of the best!

Welcome to the forum (even if technically you were a member before me)! I just set up my first hammock for the first time today and I was also blown away at how much more comfortable it was! Hope your trip goes well!
