    I hadn't yet found a need to pee in a hammock ......

    but,

and I'm not sure just where I heard this .....
so I'm in big game country in Colorado.
Big Cats and Bears here and there ......

so I save up my pee so I can pee as high onto the trees as I can.
You know, the biggest animal out there kind of thing.

    Just in Case!

What do y'all think of that?

I rarely ever have to go at home and almost always get a 3:00 call when camping. Someone said it the body's way to get warm by eliminating the liquid.
Anyway, I recommend a short, fat Downy fabric softener bottle.

I have a buddy who pissed into an empty Mt Dew bottle, woke up the next morning and took a nip. He knew it wasn't Mt. Dew right away.

Never slept in a HH before, but I love physical comedy and I can just picture someone trying to lean forward to pee out the bottom entry, slipping and landing on their face right where they were urinating. That'd be one great story.

You referring to a specific thread? This has comedy written all over it. I get my *** up and go pee at the edge of the campsite when i have to go.
    You and me both.

I get up two or three times during the night. Get up, take a leak, smoke a cigar, enjoy the night sounds & sites, stomp a bit and eat a candy bar if it's cold and then go back to bed.
You and me are kindred spirits.
When it seems like the night will last forever
And there's nothing left to do but count the years
When the strings of my heart start to sever
And stones fall from my eyes instead of tears
I will walk alone by the black muddy river
And dream me a dream of my own

I have to disagree with the Hennessy bottom entry being convenient. First, there was a pad in the way and then when I got to the velcro I could not force it open with my foot. Not something you want to have happen when your body is under duress. I barely made it out in time.
Give me the top loader anytime.

When I do this I use a Gatorade bottle also, and on my side. If it's -36F out there, I'm NOT getting out.

It depends what you use for insulation though. I have backpacking sleeping bags that fit too snug to pull this off.
