    Singer thread injector on Woot.com

I'm in no way affiliated with woot.com, but they have what appears to be a nice sewing machine on sale for $149.99 plus $5.00 s&h.

Maybe someone more knowledgeable than me can chime in as to the value of said sewin-errr, thread injector.

Eh.... It's probably ok for lightweight low use projects. There's no mention of the weight so I would expect to have to chase it around the table. It is all electronic and "automatic" which means you may be at the mercy of what ever the computer decides you need as opposed to being able to set your own choices. Forget about doing any DIY repair on the thing unless you are able to rework circuit boards.

I still think you can probably find better deals for gear making from your local sewing repair shop. But it would probably be suitable for someone who does not intended to "ride it hard and put it away wet".
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

Thanks for weighing in Ramblinrev. Woot usually has very good deals, but you often have to know exactly what you're looking for and be patient. Sometimes they have not-so-good deals too.

Personally, I plan on buying a used one, because I am a cheap SOB.

I'm a big woot fan. Bought a lot of stuff on woot. Most of which is has been good. That being said, a lot of their deals are clearance, closeout or discontinued models. I can't say about this particular machine. For the Grandma making grand-daughter dresses it is probably fine. But who needs 100 built in stitches when all you'll reasonably use is straight/reverse and maybe zigzag.

I actually almost posted this deal as well. Big woot fan.
After looking around, this isn't that great of a deal. Amazon has it for just a bit more and it doesn't seem very well suited to the DIY hammocker. When I first saw the deal it got me excited though.
