    WTB Silnylon Tarp about 8x10

Deciding to DIY my own tarp...
    No need to purchase one.
Found Noah Lmports Silnylon at 3 bucks a yrd,
And I will be copying the blackbishop tarp

    Hello all,
I am looking to purchase a tarp to use
with my ENO double nest, along with
    any other future hammock endeavors.

I would like a larger tarp, hence the 8x10 size.
I want to make grizzbeaks for the tarp for winter camping..

Does anyone have a 1.1oz silnylon tarp that they could sell me?

If the tarp is good enough, I would be willing to pay up to 100 dollars,
but it would need to be the optimal tarp.

    Thanks all,
    Trey

Does it have to be rectangular? If you are willing to pay $100, for $80 you could get a Wilderness Logics Tadpole or for $10 more a WL Big Daddy.

Bubba, I am open to other sizes, as long
as its big enough to pull to ground for winter camping,
    I want coverage...
So, if there are some alternate designs, I am open to look at them

Looking at the Big Daddy, and the
big Daddy with pullouts, they are both interesting,
    although my brother , jasonb
was able to get a great tarp with doors for about a hundred.

I could add my own pullouts, i think, seems easy with some
    webbing or grossgrain.

The only thing about those tarps, they don't seem to have
much reinforcing material at the corners, this disturbs me.....

Deciding to DIY a tarp, since
Lower priced tarps are lower quality

Which tarps are you talking about? If you mean the Wilderness Logics, a few people here have very good things to say about their gear. To say "they don't seem to have much reinforcing material at the corners, this disturbs me" is certainly your opinion but one, I believe, that is unfounded. I personally have never seen them but from all the reviews about their gear and their customer service I may be interested in an Old Man Winter tarp. Have you seen any of their tarps in person? Have you tested those corners in high winds? In driving rain? If you have a concern about their reinforcing, contact them and ask them about it but don't blindly insult their gear and reputation without merit. If, on the other hand you have seen their tarps, spoken to them about their reinforcements and done some testing on your own, I apologize.

    ... and... scene!

All I said, was there didn't seem to be much reinforcing material on the corners.

Why did you take this as a personal slight, and then
Go into a defensive rant as much as you did.

I am more interested in th warbonnet superfly and backwoods daydreamer winter drea?s cattarp designs.

I am wanting doors to close off, and yes... in those wilderness pics,
It appears to not have much reinforcing.

I never said I have experience with this tarp, or have even seen it in person.

You seriously need to relax, life doesn't have to be so serious,
And it sounds like you are on the stress filled road to heart problems

I've seen both of these tarps and they are very nice and close up exactly how you want them. If you get either of those I know you won't be disappointed.
