I'm thinking of making my own tree strap. One end will have a loop sewn with the box stitch. The other end will run through this loop.
When I use my ENO strap the one thing I notice is what may appear to me as unequal loads on the stitching in the loop. The loop is not held fast against the tree. It is more pulled against the tree and then pulled down.
I'm thinking that by using a dutch biner or nothing more than a continuous loop of dyneema that the strap loop will be loaded equally and snug against the tree.
Am I being too obsessive?
