Yes, I had one for years...still have one, in fact...it was my first backpacking hammock...the zippers always gave me problems as did the ropes which would stretch out so I would almost be lying on the zipper...it's hard to explain what happens...Byer replaced one of their hammocks when the zipper pulled out...I sewed a stitch in the new one about a 1/2 inch from both ends so it wouldn't pull out...that worked...I never could figure out why it stretched the way it did...
i used to use a netless byer a few years back that worked well for me neo

Did you favor one side when entering the hammock...I think that was the problem with the net version...the netting only opened on one side so you were always putting weight on that side which eventually distorted the ropes...it did that on the 2 Moskito hammocks I owned...
The Travel Hammock has a mosquitoe model. It looks similiar to the Byer model, but has only one support line on each end. I have the ultralight model which works well, but has no net.
I've been using the Byer Moskito for almost a year, sleep in it pretty much every night in the summer and at least a few nights a week over the winter (it hangs under the loft in my dorm). The cords are a bit of a pain, and I had problems with the zipper coming off the track, but it looks like the new one they sent me on warrenty has reinforcements on the zipper ends. Stretches a bit at first, but seems fine after that. For the price, I love it.
