    Eldorado owners.

I was wondering if anyone knew definitively how many Eldorados are out there? Also, what are some of the mods that have been done, ie: adding a structural ridge line, different suspension systems like whoopies, bungie pull outs, etc?
    Pics would be cool, too
    Thanks,
    BF

There are no more than 6.

I modded mine with a SRL, and whoopies. The side-ties weren't needed so I just took them off.

    lemme see,
    AngrySparrow is good for one.
    Cannibal is good for one.
I'm good for one, I put whoopie slings on it
JustJeff got two I think, because he know a good thing when he sees one.

if there's a sixth, well, maybe WBG has it

There are shots of mine in this video. Around 8:20

Jeff sold one of his, and I think it changed hands a few times after that.

I thought HC4U had one also, but can't confirm.

The El Dorado was made before the BlackBird.

Compared to the BB, it is smaller (shorter, narrower), no shelf, no SRL. The net is asym, and it has an attached self-storing stuff sack that serves as storage when the hammock is deployed. It was the first hammock to feature WB's whipping method.

It is a very appealing hammock for its integrated net, comfort, and light weight.

WB only made the few due to a patent debate with Hennessy, so it isn't likely to be made again.

    Angrysparrow,
Did you go with Headchange4u's two knot ridge line method or something else?

Hey BigFoot, welcome to a very exclusive club! Well, at least a small club.

I've had a ridgeline on mine, and it is no more than a loop at each end through which the suspension line passes. It is therefore on the outside of the hammock. Easy to take off. For that matter, easy to lose...I make mine from orange cord for that reason.

    Thanks, Grizz!
It sure was nice of Distortedaxis to sell me his El Dorado (after two years of begging!). Is there a secret handshake or password i should know about
I am really torn about the ridge line. I'm missing it something fierce, but it seems like it's not needed at all. It would be nice to be able to set the sag, too. Maybe an adjustable Dynaglide?

PS-Maybe there is a warehouse filled with them somewhere...like DeLorean's cars?
