NC-RDU-Bull City Hang

I'm very interested in a local hang. I'm in the process of getting my hammock put together (all materials are in, waiting on thread injector). If I can get a winter setup tested and working then I'm in.
I've read tons on this site about setups and gear combos, now I want to see it all in action!!!

As of now all the dates are good for me.

I bailed on the last group hang b/c my husband ended up having to work. We would be a family of 4 with 1 maybe 2 hangers and a dreaded tent. I'd love to say I'm coming, but weather and working will play a big roll. Always wanted to camp at Falls. I'll keep watching the thread and let you know for sure as the time gets closer.

I'm in. Got something "planned" for one of the weekends - the guys just haven't made up their minds yet.

So that gives me a 75% chance on being free and able to come. Ain't that long a drive up from Fayetteville.

I'm crusty and low tech - but I do have a hammock.

I am very interested in a March hang, as my daughter is due February 5, 2012.

Was looking at the operating schedule for Falls Lake.....

Falls Lake Facilities Operation Schedule:

Hwy 50 Year-round ... no campsites this location

Sandling Beach April 1...September 30

Beaverdam Year-round

Rolling View Year-round

Holly Point March 15...October 31

BW Wells August 31...June 1

Shinleaf March 15...October 31

Improved Group Camping
Water, restrooms and shower facilities available.
Maximum of 35 --- $48/day
Maximum of 50 --- $58/day
Maximum of 100 --- $118/day

Looks Like WB Wells or Rolling View are the two places open during the time frame we are looking at if we go with Falls Lakes area

I didn't even think of BW Wells. Never been out there before. I do know that they keep the gate locked when no one is using the facilities. I will be unable to get out that way for two weeks, but if someone else in the area wants to scout it out I won't argue.
