Finally got my cinch buckles from Onrope1. Any special method for the webbing with these...doubling back, etc.? Also, for those of you using this support system, have you noticed any slippage in the rain? Thanks.

If needed...you can back the buckles up with a half hitch and it's goin no where!!!
Yoou can see the buckles backed up with the knot in this photo showing the RL on my No Net.

It's essential that if you are using ring buckles that you back it up with a slippery half hitch. But that's not necessary if using the cinch buckles, at least not in my experience...and I have and do use both systems.

I use cinch buckles and as long as the little bar in the middle is straight and flush against the webbing, I've found them to be 100% reliable. I did have one slip once and discovered the bar wasn't seated properly. (setting up in the dark and in a hurry) I used rings prior to that and found I had to be much more diligent with them. I love the cinch buckles. Keep in mind I use them on a Claytor hammock without a ridgeline. You may experience difficulties if using them on a ridgeline as you need a degree of slack to release them.

seems they would be great for setting up a claytor if you did the mods I did on my No Net

This way you could use a biner or the quick link to attach the buckles...just a thought...
