That's it, I'm going to have to make one....well actually it would have to be 3, but it looks like this will need to be my next big DIY project. I like my PLUQ, but it is not compressible and takes up a lot of space....and it would never get me down to the 20s.

just to be honest, i've been following your posts about your own UQ. i liked your idea so i copied a bit. hope you don't mind. did you put in quilting loops in your UQ? it's been suggested to me on this thread, but i'm not sure how to do it/how many to do/what thread to use/how to space them, etc.

Thanks. i was wondering about quilting loops. i meant to ask about it in the opening post, but it was around midnight and i was so tired i wasn't thinking straight. any suggestions on how to put quilt loops in it? do i need to use any special thread or can i just use the gutermanns thread that i used for the rest of the sewing?

i use yarn for my quilting loops get some brown yarn and a needle at walmart cost you maybe $3-4 and you will have lots left over for many,many project
with PL i would use quilting loops CS(climashield) you don't need to but i still do CS holds together better than PL from what i remember of the 2

how i do it is i use a piece of cardboard and cut it a few inch long and however high my quilt lofts ... then just sew in the loop and when your ready to tie it off use the cardboard slid in under the knot so you don't compress the insulation when you tighten the knot ...
