Well done Raul...covered the mis-info and did not slam (how hard did you bite your tongue?).

As to ideas that don't work out I'm sure the halls of hammock history are lined with them. Things that seem like a good idea at the time can pan out or fail but tried and true is called that for a reason. Folk like you make for much less trial and error for us NEWBs, thanks.

Well done. I'm glad someone posted information about the quilts. I laughed at the "sign off", very clever and well played.

From shadowalpha "to me UQ insulation is one of the most important besides a tarp. I had a waterbed & when the heater failed the whole sleep system failed."
That makes perfect sense. Been there with the waterbed. Now it's time to make a UQ.

Never did the pad thingy in a hammock as I never liked the pads in ground sleeping as I had tried many and ended up with the self blow up BA's..when I first read bout UQ's and TQ's and saw all the videos and read/researched...everything you guys say,,only makes sense..great video! Keep em coming! Great for us Newb's to have so much info and I love my gear I have gotten off the cottage guys so far...everything is so simple and works great, and is soooooo comfy...never going back to the ground! Keep the info flowing as it helps everybody that is new to the forum.

Well, in "theory" some people have money in a savings account at the bank. Mine is slightly more diversified in my gear closet

Seriously though, this site is chock full of great information, testing and documentation, and skilled craftspeople. I thank all for your information and help in getting my hanging gear. I just get a chuckle every time I think HF.net has saved me money.

    Thanks for the vids, WM!

Enjoyed the video. I tried pads at first because it's what I had. Found out quickly they were not for me. Condensation and lack of comfort was not appealing at all. I went with a full length synthetic, and love it for its warmth, however will eventually be going to a smaller soon. Will be testing my poncho liner with IX layer added this weekend as a cheap 2/3 UQ.

Thanks for the support. Apparently my opinions and test methods are not up to snuff with some of the Tinny supporters.

I didn't call anyone names and I tested many areas objectively by confirming or denying certain assertions made.

Apparently I'm not cool now because I dont make stuff. I thought I just made a video LOL
