Homemade Tarp-Heating Wood Stove Instructions

Thanks all for the continuing education I had never even heard of hot camping or hot tenting before. For car camping this would be a lot of fun with a hammock hanging through the tent doors. We are building a hammock/fort barn at my parents and I'm thinking of making one of these or purchasing something similar to put in there to heat it....next year.

I realize this thread is from a while ago, but I don't recall what you used for legs on your stove. I love the idea of using SS shim so the body can be rolled just like the stove pipe. Looking to make something along the lines of the SmokeHouse Hammock Tent.

Wow -thanks for the write up rbinhood. This information is exactly what I've been looking for. Been drooling about tent stoves for awhile now. I want to make a big canvas tarp w/doors with room for a small stove.

Have you seen the Titanium Goat page? I only ask because this because the material for this diy is actually about the same price as buying one already made. Titanium isn't cheap...
