Hi, I'm not really a tree dweller yet as I am still researching in preparation for buying my 1st hammock which looks like it's going to be a Hennessy Expedition.

Been a ground dweller for years and have had many, many nights under canvas but always felt enclosed and over the last few years have been finding the ground less and less comfortable. I can no longer sleep on the ground in a thin sleeping bag without a sleeping mat.

So I'm on here just to gain knowledge BEFORE I go for my 1st hang, so I gat as much enjoyment as possible straight away and my shiny new hammock doesn't find it's way onto evilbay.

Welcome aboard from Florida. If you haven't found him yet check out Shug's videos. Also in the articles is a glossary and a list of acronyms. Good luck on a smooth and enjoyable first hang.

welcome to HF from Tennessee. You've found the right place to learn everything about hanging. IT's a good thing to be on here and listen and learn before making the plunge. You'll be glad you're here in the days, and especially, the nights to come!
