Is it generally agreed that an under quilt is considered warmer than using CCF? How cold of temp is CCF warm enough down to? I already own a ridge rest and a thermarest self inflating pad.
Also, is it just the shoulders mainly that need this insulation on the sides or is it the whole torso, & thighs as well?
What do people think of the 1/8" ccf 'yoga' mat that is sold cheap at the dollar stores and Walmart? I was thinking that perhaps it could be added as insulation on the sides to add to a typical 1/4" blue CCF or Ridgerest which isn't wide enough.
Perhaps by cutting it in half length wise into and duct taping these strips to each side of the blue CCF pad? Or perhaps underlying it perpendicular across the blue pad like a T so that the ends fold up around the shoulders?
