Going on a solo backpacking trip

Well the 1st week of October I am going on my yearly 5 day backpacking trip. Last year I went to Colorado Bend State Park in Bend,TX. This year I wanted to do something that had a little more woods to it.This year I am going to Arkansas. I am going to do the Caney Creek Trail and Buckeye Trail. I am going to start on the west trail head to Caney Creek Trail and hike over to the east trail head. Then I am going to hike north on the road to the east Buckeye trail and hike it back to where it meets up with the Caney Creek Trail and head back west to my starting point. looks like about a 15 mile hike or so. I wanted to take my time and enjoy being out in nature. I will post photos when I get back.

Here is a link to it. http://www.ouachitamaps.com/Buckeye.html

Have a great trip. I love Texas and the diversity of the terrain, but for some great hikes with different scenery and more hills, Arkansas is just a short hop away. (It's only 7-10 hours for me depending on route and destination. If I headed west that long, I'd still be in Texas.)

Yea, I had a car like that once.
