We attended the French Broad Fall Fest in Hotsprings NC...while in the area explore Rocky Gorge Rec Area (Tenkara country), re-visit Max Patch (one of the few places on the AT where you can see miles and miles of the trail corridor), and climb Water Rock Knob in the Pisgah (twas chilly at over 6200 feet).

Using the 'spring' effect of the c.f. pole opposing the staked down opposite side one can while in hammock repose adjust the tarp position from porch to full on protection. The cost is several more feet of cord and an extra stake.

Been thinking about how to do that with my pole mod too. I couldn't quite see it, was that a stake under you as well to attach the pull cord to or did you just tie it in a knot?
