The road goes ever on and on Down from the door where it began. Now far ahead the Road has gone, And I must follow, if I can, Pursuing it with weary feet, Until it joins some larger way, Where many paths and errands meet. And whither then? I cannot say.

I sleep everynight in my Knotty DIY Hammock here just outside of wonderful Parkville, Mo (North West side of KC bout 1.5 miles west of the Argosy). The best part is when I go camping and wake up in the morning, I have to realize I'm not at home. First clue is the bugnet of my Blackbird. It's wonderful feeling just as refreshed as if I was at home.
There's a hang up in Nebraska weekend of October the 22nd at Indian point or something like that. Look under events. My wifes birthday weekend unfortunately so I'm out. Sides, I used up all my hall passes going to model airplane events and Oshkosh this year. There's always next year.

My son was attending College in Rolla till he decided to pursue it here in KC. Hasn't fininshed there either. Still, I know the way down. Always wanted to take the motorcycle south of Jeff city through and farther. Twistie. Maybe get some hangs in next year.
Welcome Randyr & wife,
I know you will find all the info you need to make hammocking work for you right here. Look around ask questions these are some of the nicest people around. Walking Bear already mentioned it but he is hosting a hang at Indian Cave State park up in Nebraska on the 22nd. That should be a great time to meet many, try several different hammock types and in general have a great time.
