    cheap shock cord source

Running this as a memory jog. Found myself needing some shock cord today and found the local army/navy closed. Remembered a long ago post about cargo nets from Harbor Freight. Picked up a $5.00 net and after about an hour of untying ended up with almost 100' of approximatly 1/8" cord.

Awesome! I needed another excuse to go to HF! With that 20% off coupon, it'd be $4!

And if you don't feel like untying all that, Supply Captain has some pretty good deals on shock cord, among other things.

Quality from Supply Captain is very good. Price is not bad, either.

1 UQ needs 100' of shock cord? That must be one heck of an underquilt!

    Re: cheap shock cord source

I just undid a harbor freight 97x 72 net that I got for 10 bucks after taxes. It yielded 100 feet of 5mm at 10 cents a foot.

I have ordered from shipperssupplies.com a couple times and it is pretty good stuff. I like the feel of it too.

I have bought bunjee from supplycaptain too. good stuff.
