I sent a follow-up email to Brandon, and he replied last night. He said he was cutting material today and tomorrow, and then sending to his sewer. My order from the beginning of August will hopefully be shipping out next week, so it sounds like things are moving again for him.

    in stock items

Ordered a in-stock traveler sl 1.1 on August 31st and it was shipped Sept. 19th for those wondering on wait times on possible in-stock items while he transitions to the new shop. Gotta admit I caved and bought a 20 dollar grandtrunk UL to play with while I waited as the backyard rig wasn't cutting it.

Did any of you guys get the shipping notice yet?

I'm also waiting on Superfly (and WBBB) since July.

Brandon always responds to my emails but I don't want to bother him with 'Is it ready' questions anymore.

    Cheers.

    Hi there everyone,

Yes, I know, where is it, I want it NOW.

I’ve ordered twice from Mr. Warbonnet. The first order took 4 weeks, because there was a hold up. The second order arrived in 10 days which is fairly normal from the U.S. to AU. The first order was for the WBBB and the asymmetrical tarp. When I finally got them my first impression was, “genius!” The WBBB is a well thought out high quality hammock and like so many here have typed before, “it is worth the wait.”

Happy with the WBBB and asa tarp, I then sent away for the Edge and Super fly tarps. Mr. Warbonnet calls them high performance tarps and that they are! I have spent a fair bit of time playing around with the WBBB and the 3 tarps. So, when you do get whatever you ordered (and you will), keep in mind that if you are not totally happy with whatever you get from Mr. Warbonnet, it will more than likely be a tuning issue and NOT the product itself. High performance things usually need a fair bit of tuning to get them to work just right. So, be prepared to spend some quality tuning time with your new, soon to be favourite piece of camping gear.

From memory, you won’t hear from Brandon until your order ships. Then, you get an e-mail from PayPal, which is a receipt, and and a quick note on the top saying that your order has just shipped.

His business is fairly new and he is pretty much a one man band (does most of it himself). He did tell me that he’s planning to move into a bigger shop. This is what he typed:

I'm in the process of trying to get into a bigger shop and hire more help so that i can offer shorter lead times. that is always a goal, but my lead times have gotten steadily better over the past couple years (albeit slowly). My website does say "usually" in about a week.
    <<

So, I’m afraid you will all just have to wait a little longer. You will get what you ordered and you will most likely be as happy with it as I am and all the other hammock Forum members are who have bought stuff from Mr. Warbonnet.

If you can set up in your backyard, you will get it all tuned in much quicker and easier. It took me about 10 backyard sleeps to get my hammock tuned in just right for me.

Oh, and by the way, all three tarps fit in side the Hennessy Hammock Snake Skins. BUT to make it happen, you will have to remove the plastic triangle things from both ridgeline ends of the tarp.

I also have a Superfly on backorder. I emailed today to check the status and Brandon replied telling me he plans to begin shipping backordered Superflys next week.
