    Incubator

I didn't read all the follow up posts of yours, but if you run cold, camp in the cold, and have cut back enough weight to afford some luxuries....I'd go with the Incubator.

I went with Phoenix in the poll because you backpack...saves pack space and weight. That said I really like my Incubator, though that opinion would probably change if I was lugging it on my back instead of in a motorcycle pannier. HG gots nice stuff!

Backpacker to backpacker, go with a Phoenix. It'll save you a little weight, some space and you already have a pad to put under your feet/legs. I absolutely love mine (Crow's Nest)!

I just bought a winter incubator. I was able to do this without the weight of my rig changing... Ok, I'll explain. I bought a whole new set up for winter.
    3 season:
    WBBB 1.7 dbl
    Leighlo's 3 season UQ

    Winter:

    Traveler 1.1 dbl
    winter incubator

With the weight savings on the hammock. It actually just about evens out to what I carry in the summer. Also for me, personally, it is easier to carry a little more weight in colder months. but that's just me

I'm drawn to the open country. Its where the world makes the most sense. When I put myself out there I always return with something new.

    Trigger pulled

I have just placed an order for the 20°F Phoenix, the winner in a fairly close race. Can't imagine I'll be unhappy with it. That's democracy in action.

    Thanks for all your advice.

Keep this poll open, and the meaning of the question changes. As of this reply we know what McRat ordered from #25. But the poll question is "What will he be using for the next year?"
So, voters for the Phoenix who want to be proven right ought to send McRat supplements --say over-the-calf down booties (or Flame Thrower Socks, to spread the love and $$ around)-- to help him have no regrets, not feel he shorted himslef, however cold the winter around Baaaaaston.

    All smilies implied.

Well then since you were the first to out it, you can be the first to send it to him!

If you have to get over-the-calf down booties to wear with a Phoenix - wouldn't it have been better to have gone with an Incubator in the first place?
