    Afternoon Delight

This is how I spend my lunch time when the weather is nice. I am fortunate to live and work(Central PA) near some excellent water & hanging areas. This shot is of a creek I frequently kayak/fish/camp. This is less than 5 minutes from my office. It's amazing how 30 or 40 minutes of bliss can melt away the hassles of work. I dont punch a clock and sometimes 30-40 turns into 60-90 minutes.

I was wondering if my fellow hangers spend thier lunch time in or near the woods hanging.

I have one of those "parachute" hammocks" which I usually keep in the car for just such occasions. Since I recently retired they don't have to revolve around lunch. Anytime I get the itch I stop and hang. BTW....like you, water seems to be a natural hammock magnet for me.

I am so jealous! Living on campus and attending classes during the day, I normally find myself spending my lunch in a dining hall of some sort.
Now that the weather has begun to turn nice (or at least it was over the last couple of days) I have really been itching to spend some time lounging, like I see so many others doing out in the yard. I am not sure how well it will go over, my hammock strung between the only two trees that I feel safe strapping to.

You are really lucky!! I spend my lunch time dreaming of being out in the woods swinging from my hammock.

Wow. That's a nice place to spend lunch.

With the price of corn now you don't even want to break of a stalk with your hammock.

I spend mine bird-watching just off the the Washington and Old Dominion bicycle trail. I think I will make a speer hammock just to take with me so I can hang and watch the birds, that is a great idea!!!!

Some days I spend my lunch brake running. Seven miles is my max though.
