144" tarps

I've been pondering about the tarp to get to use with my new Switchback hammock and have decided to start with a 144" tarp as the maker recommends and then as I get comfortable I can go down to a 132" tarp. The problem is that there just aren't that many 144" tarps. I'm talking about cat cut tarps made of silnylon, spinn or cuben. All I have found are sil. Here are the contenders:

Arrowhead Toxaway -13.75 oz. - $115
OES MacCat Ultra Sil - 15.4 oz. - $130
OES MacCat Deluxe Sil Custom - 16.6 oz.
TTT Gear Cat Cut Tarp - 16.75 oz. - $135
Hennessy 30D Hex Sil - 18.6 oz. - $130
OES Four Season - 19.5 oz. - $135
Granite Gear White Lightning - 23 oz. - $210

The last three are a bit heavy for my tastes. The Toxaway doesn't seem to be available right now though I'm waiting on a message from Arrowhead. If you had the option of any of these what would be your choice and why. BTW, all weights are without pullouts or lines or seam sealing except for the MacCat Deluxe custom which is weighed with the rigging.

I just got the OES 12' Winter. I am still in the process of pole modding it, but as soon as I do I will make a video.

I love it. It gives me so much coverage. It had a weight penalty, but here in AL we get some windy thunderstorms and it will be well worth the extra weight.

Craftsmanship like always is amazing.

I was actually in the same boat. Just purchased a SB 1.9 DL.

Sold my BMJ.

Picked up an OES 12 x 10 Winter.

For me, doors are a must and they are stock on the Winter.

Stock 12 x 11 Winter is cheaper than any of the other options on your list if you added sewn on doors from 2QZQ or a set of Grizz Beaks. That heavily influenced my decision.

I did add the OES 4 Season tarp - missed it - plus the online prices. GG is way out of line on their price. I really don't want the 4 season though because when I go that route I'm likely to get a HMG Cuben with the doors anyway for a much lower weight.

I have a MacCat Ultra in Spinn (material no longer available) and I love the coverage to weight ratio.

Well, I made up my mind and ordered a custom OES MacCat Deluxe with the 144" ridgeline. I can't argue with Brian's quality and he was the only one that offered panel pulls. Hopefully the 2 week turnaround is still accurate.
