Simply beautiful gentlemen. Nice work. Having come-of-age in a dial-up era, I LOVE that pic heavy reports are no longer taboo and load easily! Thanks a bunch.

Yeah, the new ones are pretty. Unfortunately they are few and far between on the sections of trail that are infrequently traveled and somewhat overgrown. Of course, that keeps the numbers of hikers down as well.

    Thank you for sharing

Great pictures and it looks to be wonderful scenery.

For the record both theses guys are deligthful hiking partners. Feisty enough to be fun, but rock solid hikers.

Am I going to be the only one without a cuben tarp the next time we hike together?

I would suggest "Trail Guide to Lincoln National Forest" ISBN #1-879343-25-8 and "The Hiker's Guide to New Mexico" ISBN #1-56044-064-3. Also, you can get the best map of LNF from the Forest Service at Smokey Bear Ranger District 901 Mechem Drive , Ruidoso, NM 88345 Tel. 575.257.4095. They have a waterproof map" White Mountain Wilderness" which gives the best trail detail.

Probably not, because you most likely have already ordered yours!
