Looking for advice on amount of down.

Finished sewing my summer under quilt. Sew-thrugh construction. Its not a typical square, so I'm not 100% sure how much down to use. Its 39 in. x 68 in. So baffles are 6.5"x 68". There is 1 1/2 inches of slack on the side away from hammock. Hammock side is 39 in other side was 48 in. I'm thinking 1 oz per chamber 6 total, but I'm not sure.
I have included some pictures. Orange side is agenst hammock, black is side away. As it lays its 3.32oz. I,m looking for it to be good to 35* to 40*

Pretty easy question to answer if you can provide 1 more number.

the baffles are spaced 6.5" on the inner layer.

How much material is there between the stitching on the outer layer of fabric?

You still using the 800 fill?

There is 1 1/2 in more material on the outer layer. I plan to use 800 fill from storm crow or thru hiker. I'm just not sue weather to order .75 0z per bafflw or 1.0 oz per baffel for a 40* under quilt.

Are you saying that it is 6 1/2" + 1 1/2" spacing (8") on the outer layer?

Because that is much different than showing that your quilt baffle stands up 1.5# on a tape measure in the pic.

I the inner layer 6.5" outer layer 7.5" to alow for room for down. It looks t be about two inches of space per baffel. Not square though.

You've got room for roughly 500 ci of down in each chamber with no overfill.

This is about .625 oz per chamber.

.75 oz per chamber would be a decent overstuff and certainly help avoid any dead spots.

BTW, 7.5" spacing on the outer will yield about 1.6" of loft in a perfect world

Remember that wrapping the quilt around your body/hammock is different than using straight geometry on the floor also.

That about what I figured. between .75oz and 1 oz per chamber. Belive I'll go with your recomendation of .75 oz per chamber. Thanks for the reply.
