Have done some internet research : looking for pic of top of pack ( how it closed ), 'height of person =size of bag comfort' and reviews.
Heard wonderful things about this pack. Yet perhaps not the best choice for me hiking the rainy eastern mountains and the AT.

Most of the Ultralight pack offerings are really only mist resistant, and depend on a dry inner bag, and pack cover or Packa, for real weather. Just like most other packs.
The upside, is you generally carry everything, you don't want wet, in a dry bag in the first place, and when it stops raining, they dry out very quickly.
IMHO, Max Pack load and the way they carry, should really determine whether an Ultralight is suitable for someone.
The Pinnacle has the roll closure on the top. It also has a good load stabilization system, that not only lets you stabilize loads, but also allows you to convert a fairly large volume pack, into a great slackpack.
