Dale Gribble: I'm thinking, "new hammock." For me, laying and swaying in a hammock is like a steady morphine drip without the risk of renal failure.

Randy : yea but just remember yer roots and where ya come from....you got Hennessy in yer blood son......

I've been buying like a mad fool in the last month, plus my normal outdoor gear foolery and shedding what didn't work for me or spares, like the tarp offered here. She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed demands a balanced toy budget--- she's worse than a Republican finance committee, unless she walks into a shoe store, of course Keep in mind I live in Seattle, which to a gear junkie, is like an alcoholic living between a brewery and a Scotch distillery I'm a long time denizen of Backpackinglight.com and I've been hiking and camping since childhood-- and I'm so old dirt calls me 'Sir.'

My hammock newbie trials and research of the last few weeks:

    Hennessy Expedition Zip with mods
    32' Amsteel Blue
    8 various carabiners
    150' Dynaglide
    Hennessy Hex tarp
Kick *** Quilts Lost River UQ
    Hennessy SuperShelter foam underpad
    Custom poncho undercover
WAY too many space blankets (making Garlington Insulators)
A Clark tarp to test drive (need a Clark to go with it!)
A Pawley's Island hammock to test drive
A Grand Trunk Ultralight to mod into next week
    Tree straps
Thrift store foam pads and polyester fill insulation
    Hennessy cape tarp
    Grand Trunk Funky Forest Tarp
    Coleman foam pad

I still wanna super lightweight bug net.

So you wanna buy a tarp? Huh? Wanna? You really wanna, don't cha!

    HELLLLLLP MEEEEEEE!!!!!!!

well it all makes sense now haha, I also purchased alot and now im selling some but I start to think about it and im like hmmmm I might need that later ( but i definently wont ) I have the same hennessy exp and I have the same tarp your trying to sell. I was thinking id keep mine since its light and use as a type of top cover for the hennessy on those winter nights when I have my winter tarp up also.

Nice justification I just bought the Hennessy cape tarp to fill that niche. I want to use it with the Hennessy and my uberlight setup with my Grand Trunk Ultralight. I do hike in areas with 100" annual rainfall. Sometimes I get to the West Olympics with 200"+ rain per year--- that is 16+ {{{{{FEET}}}} of rain!

The stock Hennessy would work great with a Nano 7 or a kid's hammock.
