Looks like I can only get out the 21-22. Ill be at zaleski. Ill come up late saturday night. Stay at camp 1 or 2 and the hike to camp 2 or 3 sunday and hike out monday morning/early afternoon. Haven't decided on which sites I'm trying to hit yet.

I know these dates may not work for any of you, that's totally cool. If you can make it this week, awesome, I'd love to have some other hangers there. If you guys choose another day have fun! Maybe I can convince the old lady to come out for a day hike to visit. Things at work are a bit crazy now and I can't get any saturdays off til we slow down and the guy the covers for me slows down at his second job.

Depending on when and where this takes place, I'd love to drop in to check out a few hammocks out if anyone would be willing to let me try their setup for a few minutes. I've been lurking for a while and I'd love to try some of the options before I make to leap to buy. I know what I like from reading, but there is nothing like trying it in person.

I would like to join everyone. I'm pretty good on any weekend Friday evening to Sunday evening....more for visiting, meeting fellow Ohioans from the forum, and a hammock sleep out than the hiking portion right now.

I just need to know what to do (registration?) and where I should go to hang (directions to the camp)?

Slimjim, I will be doing zaleski, my assumption is that it wis around the 2.5 hour drive for you. I'm sure everyone would be more than willing to let you test out their setups. I'd be fine with it. I think most of us are using blackbirds,

The good part about Zaleski is that all of the camps are accessible from the forest roads if you can't/don't want /are just too lazy (as I've been many times before) to hike the trail.

    http://www.dnr.state.oh.us/Portals/1...Brochure_7.pdf

King Hollow Trail Road is a relatively easy walk from camps C and D. You can park at the trailhead and "road walk" to C in 45 mins and to D in an hour on a very easy gravel road.

You can evidently also park on King Hollow Road itself and be at either camps in a couple of minutes.

19th-21st works for me and Moe-z

Diva B - No registration. The above link should answer the question as to how to get there.

I vote for Camp D. From what I remember, there is a bit more room for accommodating a larger number of hangers?

Awesome tendertoe and moe z, I gotta try to get out of a dinner with the father in law that saturday night so I can hopefully make it out before you guys crash for the night. If not ill still likely come out that night, but if its going to be late might just stay at camp A.

Just a heads up guys, last weekend at zaleski trail head parking lot my car along with many others were broken into. I've been there many times and this has not been an issue but make sure you leave important things at home, in your pack or worst case, in your trunk.
