Sorry to see you posted you did not get the same personal service as I did from Dutchware and diygearsupply that you received from Redden. Gotta say the I've purchased both from Dutchware and diygearsupply with A1A + 1 service from both vendors.

I think he means that Dutch and Scott got him his orders quickly while Reddin dragged their feet.

But +1 on diygearsupply, Scott is good people and he's usually very quick with getting orders out.

I contacted Scott at DIYGEARSUPPLY and he was extremely helpful. I'm planning to order from him when I order. His website has a lot of great stuff for making your own gear. The shipping charges he quoted me were very reasonable and he responded to my questions through email very quickly. My opinion on low cost and value is if you only need 12 feet of cord, the best deal is someone who will sell you 12 feet of cord at a good price even if it isn't the cheapest per foot price. Thanks to everyone for their ideas!

Redden Marine is really great, and their prices are often better if you want larger amounts.

And there are other great vendors as well that suit our hammock gear needs. I certainly am thankful for every order placed and I know the other guys here are too. My job is simply to inspire you all to DIY your own gear and once you're hooked to feed the habit.

I prefer the local forum members that have businesses listed on here. Good service at fair prices. Personable service each time. Redden took their time with one of my orders but not so with Dutch or DIY...
