Welcome K1!!
I have that book on my Wish list on Amazon, I'm just waiting to find a few other items to save on shipping! I've heard great things about that book and your writing!
It's good to have you here at Hammock Forums!

Your an inspiration Dennis. Thanks. I just turned 60 this year.

Great to read about this, welcome to HF, though you are already a very experienced hammock camper!
Which HH were you using, which tarp and how did you keep your back warm?
I Thru'd in 2003 and the first time I spent an entire night in my HH was on Springer. I'm going to enjoy reading your book. Can't get enough of reliving the trail.

Like others, I feel compelled to say "welcome."
But I sense that you've been there and back again and have just been waiting for the rest of us to catch up. So maybe it's you that should be welcoming the rest of us.
In either case, I'm glad you're on HF. I would enjoy meeting you at a hang sometime. I could show you my idea for my wife and me to sleep together in the two hammocks using the same two trees and under one tarp.

So many trees, so little time...
An excellent book. Strongly recommended to ALL hiker / adventurer types.
I will read that book and imagine what splendors you encountered on the trial.
