    Suspending my blackbird

I am the new owner of a WBBB dual 1.7. While waiting for it to arrive, I built a wooden stand to hang from. Well, the hammock arrives and I try it out last night.

I hang the hammock and the attachment points are around 6'2" from the ground and approximately 13-14' apart.

I hang it so the ridge line looks parallel to the ground and a decent height from the ground. I get in it and wiggle around. I note that the ridge line is slack. It is hanging loose with approximately 2-3" of sag. I quickly looked to see of there was a way to adjust it and didn't see anything pop out at me.

So, I have seen videos on setting up the WBBB and the ridge line should be taut. How do I get it that way? Are the angles of the straps off, so therefore the ridge line is off?

My assumption is the ridge line can be adjusted or my angles are off. Any ideas?

Your angles are a little off. If your ridgeline is slack you need to leave your attachment points where they are and shorten your suspension. Once you get the ridgeline where you want it you can raise or lower the attachment points to get the height you want.

You are also going to want the foot end 6 - 12" higher than the head end.

I like my RL a little loose. It seems to help with the calf pressure.

Did you lay in the hammock? How did it feel?

I have also found this to be true. A loose RL seems to help that left calf pressure ridge.

Aaaahhh. I just posted a new thread asking how to get rid of that calf pressure, and this may just help. I always set my BB up with a taut ridgeline and I always have that crease under my left calf. Maybe with a looser RL I can alleviate this problem.
Hammocks are God's way of saying....."relax guy".

I built a stand from plans on the forum, and I had to add some lower attachment points for my BB suspension. The ENO hangs great from the higher points.
